Student loan interest is being lifted. I am not certain as to how long, but now would be the time to throw money at your loans. It would drop your principal, and reduce the amount of interest you would pay over the long run.
The Internal Revenue Service will NOT call you on the phone. We all know our friends, they send a letter first. Be wary of calls that say they are the IRS. An agent or a revenue officer will always give you a badge number, and their purpose will never be something that sounds too good to be true. The IRS has one mission-compliance. They aren't in the habit of suing or arresting you. They aren't in the habit of offering you advances on credits either. The only way to know what credits you are eligible for is to file your taxes. But don't take my word for it, you can look it up at irs.gov. Publication 17 is dry reading, and a little formal, but it is all there.
If you are ill, or you do not feel comfortable about coming in, the United States mail is still functioning. Mail your return materials in, and I will mail them back to you with an invoice. As always, I am willing to work with you about when A&S gets paid if you are having financial difficulties.
Urgency and purpose-not chaos. Develop a routine if you can and stick to it. We can all make it through this together. Share your toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Volunteer to go get your neighbors groceries. Help each other out and be good to one another.
